Really nice – have two regiments of these same figures mocking me from their box in my lead mountain.

Those look great! I especially like the horses. Well done!

Without detracting from the humans, I have to agree just how good are the horses. Bay horses, for cuirassiers, not their first choice, but La Garde pinched the blacks and these are late, to judge by the grey folded cloaks on the portmanteaux, even with the posher helmets.

Their yellow facings narrows it down. But no other clues as to the regt on the saddlery. Few brush strokes would transform that. But I struggle with flaming grenades. Never yet got it right….not once.

Of course, great painting. I think you were so tactful in talking about stocky figures from Front Rank.

The castings are just incredible. The modelling is….of stocky Hobbits…heaviness, you said…weight is the word that keeps coming up…….

They could be the best range in 28mm and their latest Reinforcement Packs suggest that they have learnt summat…

Thanks for all the comments guys, much appreciated!

I love painting horses, you can get some real nice colours with them.

deadhead, thanks for all the comments! I agree about all you've said. With the extra markings I didn't add them as the commission didn't need them. I agree though, it would have added more.
