Hi folks,

I though some of our more senior members might appreciate these and be able to identify manufacturer.

Part of a current commission I am working on –
28mm French Cuirassiers

thanks

Believe they are Hinchliffe.

I agree, they look like Hinchcliffe.

The horses are Hincliffe Foremost (H5 Heavy horse charging stretched out)

The officers are Foremost NC8 Cuirassier Officer charging (with the heads twisted around to give some variance)

picture

The trooper looks to be Foremost NC18 Cuirassier Trooper charging (with his sword arm repositioned)

and the funny thing is that the name of the company was Hinchliffe…only one C.

Even back then I got it wrong.

I knew they beat Airfix plastics hands down.

But could never understand how some "new" (1975+)releases were so good, but some were so awful. Beatties….back of the RSM in London. Closed down for 20 years now.

I could walk out of a dreadfully boring ENT surgery conference, into a store, where I could pick figures out of a box and put them back again and choose what I wanted.

Imagine buying 28 (OK 25 really) mm figs in a retail shop. Without checking on the Internet what they looked like. You held them in your hand.

EEEH, them were the days. Collectors these days….they do not know they's born……we had it rough mind. 15/18mm scale? Funny lot them. Not for real men.

Plastics? Naw Marc, work or home, you'd never pull, in the Flask in Highgate, North London, if you admitted to her that you were chatting up, that you collected plastics. She'd send you to Jack Straw's Castle, for your sort. (I've never been in the Dawghawse yet, but am working on it)

As usual the collective knowledge of TMP came through good.

All the girls love plastic toys…

Plastic toys?

What was the Beach Boys song…was it "Good Vibrations"…

Imagine posting that now. Instant Dawghawse (Did I spell that right?)
