Elvis was a great man and a true patriot. He died way too soon. A friend of mine's father was a police officer and was assigned to provide security when Elvis played Hampton, Va. He told us Elvis stopped by and spoke with the officers. Later he saw what they had been provided to eat, bologna sandwiches, and was furious. He demanded they be given better food and, in the meantime, invited them in to eat what had been provided for him and his band/hangers on/etc. |
