The topic of the Flag Dude should get it's own board.

Would try the phone number on his web site.

Don't bother with the phone number. He never answers and the answering machine is full. The only time you can place an order from him is when you catch him at a convention. Which is unfortunate as he makes some great flags.

Perennial problem I fear?

Does he ever do flags without the pole?

athun2507 Dec 2016 12:20 p.m. PST

Flashman, yes he does flags not fixed to poles. I used the for my Fireforge crusaders; they slip right onto the flag poles or lances of the figures.

I gave up on him. It's sad, he had a really good product. If you live on the east coast, you might find him at one of the larger conventions. If anyone does, please ask him why he doesn't respond to emails and phone calls? Either you're in business or not. Pick one.

jefritrout07 Dec 2016 12:48 p.m. PST

Flashman,

Yes, I have had some made without the pole.

Syrinx007 Dec 2016 9:03 p.m. PST

Yeah. I never got a response either.

Try warflag.com for free, downloadable flags. They are pretty good, and you can print them on anything your printer can handle.

I gave up dealing with him.I emailed him and heard nothing back. I called Rick and got through. He asked be to call back in 3 hours because he was busy. I called him at 11pm as requested and he took the order and said he would send me the invoice in a few days. A month went by, no invoice. I emailed him,no response. I called and could not get through. I threw in the towel and went another direction. We have to separate Rick the person who is a great guy from Rick the businessman who is terrible.

Off to GMB then I guess

95thRegt05 Jan 2017 4:26 p.m. PST

I just placed order today. Email bounced back. I normally use GMB, but they don't have a couple ACW flags I need. Warflag is atrocious! Would never use them. Awful graphics, and questionable flags..

95th regiment – you are entitled to your opinion. But I think they are good enough to use, and they are free. I know other gamers who use them and are very satisfied. I also think you can give a negative criticism about a product without trashing it. You could be stopping other people from trying the site, thus hurting someone's reputation. No product pleases everyone. Next time you criticize a product I ask you to think of this.

All he did was give his opinion. What's wrong with that?

Wow, lol! The site goes back to the 90's. I'm not stopping anyone from using the site, nor am I besmirching anyones reputation. Heck,I don't even know who runs it!

Oh well,I guess I'll keep my opinions to myself from now on.

You shouldn't have to keep your opinions to yourself. Nick's opinions are worth no more or less than anyone else's.

Still no answer from him. :-(

flashman212 Jan 2017 10:19 a.m. PST

Bob, move on. Rick will reappear, sell some flags and those that get them will flog all those that posted negative reviews and then he will disappear again and a new round of where is Flag Dude will be posted. A never ending cycle!

piccinino13 Jan 2017 4:41 a.m. PST

Try flagsofwar.com instead

Hmmm. I suddenly find myself in the "where is flag dude" crowd. I evidently had a personal email for him that is now no good. Sent an email to the address on his webpage. No response. Called the number listed there only to get the "this person has a voicemail that has not been set up" message.

Rick was not at FI, but a rep for him was. Perhaps I'd better start checking milk carton photos. :-)
