By chance, anyone seen these in the flesh? Have opinions or observations about them, good or bad? How do they match up size wise to other ranges etc.. link They're on sale … it's a tempting project to start. |

I found their Portuguese cacadores to be great sculpts but slightly shorter than Perry figures and shorter and a lot slighter than Warlord Figures (but then what isn't). |

I'm not remotely a Saxon expert, but I wonder if that's why they left the backpack off? Wasn't it the location of the pack that was a major change between 6 and 9? An attempt to make them suitable for both perhaps? |

Sorry, only just spotted this topic. Santa brought me a pack of Casting Room Saxon cuirassiers to allow me to attempt to complete a 12 man unit with 10 Old Glory equivalents. The Casting Room figures are significantly larger – both horses and riders. I'd guess the CR ones would better match modern 28mm ranges such as Perry etc. |
