Just to let everyone know there is a Full Thrust campaign game about to start in the Southland (north of Los Angeles) and I would like to invite anyone interested in participating, either in a full-time, part-time, or even just one game, to join us for some good times. The campaign is likely to stretch out for the next 10 to 12 months, depending on how many games and moves we can do each month. Participation is open to gamers who have extensive knowledge of Full Thrust as well as those who perhaps just want to try it once! We can accommodate you and your fleet as well as provide everything including instruction to those trying it for the first time! We are still in the development / organizational period but hope to launch the "Official" campaign towards the end of January 2016. Until then we will be doing test / learning games, but "new" players can get in anytime and will be given a "sub-command" to run. More details, Battle Reports, as well as progress reports on the campaign can be found on my website HistoricalHobbies.com . To make following along easier please subscribe to the site and get notification of new reports sent to you! (Please use your real name and email or I or the program may delete you as a spammer!) Please get a hold of me for more details. Bill W vonkluge@ca.rr.com

Sounds like great fun. Wish I could attend, but the distance is just a few light years too far. Are you running a hex-based campaign, or using some other system, like nodes perhaps, with jump paths, like in the old Imperium boardgame? Would love to hear more info on your plans for your campaign. I tried a small hex-mapped mini-campaign with my son, eons ago, using a points system, and it was pretty fun. It is challenging to both try to defend multiple sectors while simultaneously attacking others. |

It looks like your post was delayed in subspace for about 10 months. How did the campaign go? |

Didn't Stellar Conquest only have a few types of generic ships? |

Others have used it for campaigns, and fairly comprehensive rule extensions for FT are 'findable'. Though Bill is perfectly capable of working up something fantastic… ;->= Will definitely be watching! Doug Edit: ""Others have used it for campaigns, and fairly comprehensive rule extensions for FT are 'findable.' Which vonkluge says in his blog, if I'd bothered to check first. *blush* |
