I will pick one up if he removes or explains the need for an apostrophe in the title. |

Thank you all; pretty excited to finally be finish. Tacitus, I am a mere physician not an english major. I wanted to show that the Grunt was moving forward. Should there be no apostrophe? Thanks Joe |

If you are talking about one Grunt, and stating that he already is forward, then "Grunt's Forward" would be a correct (but unusual) contraction of "Grunt is Forward." Or if you are saying a certain "Forward" belongs to a grunt, then you are correctly using the possessive apostrophe. If you are referring to an order for a grunt to move forward, the correct punctuation would be, "Grunt, Forward." But I suspect you are meaning to say, multiple grunts should move forward, in which case it should read "Grunts Forward," with no apostrophe. That would best match the title "Platoon Forward." If you are saying a single grunt currently is moving forward, then you need more words. To be clear, the plural of "Grunt" is "Grunts." Adding an apostrophe in that case is wrong. |

Joe Legan Don't you feel so much better now that's been sorted out? By the way do you need Platoon Forward to use Grunt's Forward or is it a stand alone? Fatman |

Fatman – Joe's blogpost says you need Platoon Forward to use Grunt's Forward. I'm going to spell it that way forever now, just because I can ;) Joe – Hurry up! V/R, Jack |

Fatman! Good to hear from you. Jack, thanks for calling Fatman out as not reading my blog! Everyone else; thank you for the English lesson. It appears it should be "Grunts Forward" and so it shall be known henceforth. ( Except for Jack, as a marine he gets an exemption!) Sincerely thanks. Don't want to post something that is wrong. Will attempt to upload to Wargamer's Vault tonight. Joe |
