So I have completed my next addition to my growing Ultramarines collection! Yet again I have gone with Altdorf Blue for the main armour colour, it seems to work so I'm sticking with it

I'm enjoying painting these more than I thought I would, the one thing about being a painter and collector rather than a gamer is I pick what what I like and not necessarily what I did or should have

So thanks for looking, if I can manage to add my blog address I will do feel free to pop over and leave a comment

Cheers for now

Nicely done

I did a squad for a friend – used a different blue but I think I like the Altdorf blue look you used better

Thanks for sharing!

This used to be the shade used for Ultramarines.

I'm working on "Betrayal at Calth" the Horus Heresy on commission. Lovely, detailed figures, but a bear to assemble.

Thanks guys for the feedback

Frederick, I wasn't keen on the darker blue but they seem to have worked out pretty well! I will find out soon enough if it works on larger pieces like a Razorback?

28mm Fanatik, things certainly have toned colour wise as the years have gone by.

Dale Hurtt, it's amazing how easy it is to make good looking bases out of cork!

nnascati I've got the betrayal at calth set myself but it's getting the time to get them built, let alone painted!

Dentatus, my collection is slowly growing! I'm hoping Xmas may increase my collection even further.

Uesugi Kenshin, thank you. Altdorf Blue is a bit lighter but it seems to have done the job!

Thanks for the comments guys, it's all appreciated. So keep looking and I will keep posting
Cheers for now Russ

Thanks Tacitus, I'm having fun painting these guys. They certainly paint up nice, and the choice of parts you get with them is certainly a big plus in my book.

28mm Fanatik – now THOSE are Ultramarines!

OP – sadly your image isn't showing for me :(

PMC317 sorry you can't view the pictures I will try and take some more photos and see if reposting works.
ScottS thank you for the kind words, work on my scouts as ground to a halt due to other commitments but I have completed the test piece so I will see about posting photos of that as well.
So thanks for all the comments guys, they really are appreciated.
So thanks for looking
