I think these figs are very cool and look great for such a new sculptor. I have two questions… 1. How do you come by the price point for these? They're .26 USD more than AB's which you use as comparisons in the above pics 2. If you're going to use AB's for comparison pics, and you're obviously a very talented painter, why don't you paint your own examples to the level you've painted the AB figs? I hope you sell a ton of these and I look forward to seeing your skills as a sculptor develop further. |

Thanks guys! :-) @jtipp68 From the end.. I don't sell tons and not even hundreds, I operate with dozens. 2. I am incredible slow and I don't have months for painting couple figures as I haved for AB masterpieces, accurately covered with 6-10 layers of paint. Now I must paint dozens of my figures quickly, so I use only 2-3 layers without much accuracy. I even thinked do not paint them at all and show them only primed with grey, as AB do. 1.I lovered the price from 1.20, when I moved from gravity casting to centricast. Actually the estimated self-cost of my figures may be bigger than AB final cost and I calculate to cover the production costs per average figure with 3-5 years. For example my oldest set, the Murats, is only two sells away from covering its initial production costs, without cost for work. |

Thanks! :-) More for jtipp68..
In Europe the difference between prices with AB figures in "Fighting 15s" is only 10 cents. This is with 20% VAT. And we sell all over the World with the same price and with the same shipping cost, so ALL customers are equal. "Eureka Miniatures USA" is your local distributor and as US states mostly are VAT free, your local prices logically must be much lower. I am tied with PayPal terms. Shipping costs are automatically tied with amount of order there. In the same time Post Office charge by weight of parcel. So I must tie my costs with weight to satisfy both – Post and PayPal. As result my prices are determined by average weight of figures. |
