Anyone have a source they can recommend where this line of paints may still be available in the USA? Would like to replenish my dwindling supply especially the Horse Colors!! Thanks in advance! |

Thanks Doug! All around they're still one of the finest lines of paint for miniatures as far as quality goes! Please let me know what you can find!! |

Dear members. Thanks for the compliments. I created the Musket Miniatures paint line because I could not find the colors and quality that I needed. However, they became so popular the time necessary to make, bottle and handle the orders became so great that I could not continue to devote the time necessary to manage the line (I worked by myself and my miniatures lines were suffering). I tried hiring additional help and that didn't work out (one individual even stole my brushes!) so I discontinued the paint business completely. There is no stock available from any source. Again, thank you to the many friends I have in this great hobby and I hope someone will create a great new line of paints. Jim McCarron (former owner of Musket Miniatures) |

Thanks for the explanation Jim. That explains why I haven't seen any retailers on line carrying your line of paints for quite some time! I was just hoping to pick up another bottle of each of my favorites, but I guess I'll make do trying to mix and match as best I can! He actually STOLE your brushes?!?!? If he had pulled that on me that fellow would be just about able to completely paint a figure every time he sneezed!!! Well, you get the picture!! |

I still have some of the Musket paints, and they still work just great. In fact, I'm using them right now for my ACW cavalry. About the closest thing I've found for a replacement are the horse colors from Howard Hues. BWW |

I've got some MM paint that is at least 15 years old that I was using last week. They made some great colors. |
