"According to Cröbern 1813, the Diorama Möckern is the second major diorama of the museum in 1813. This is also a section of the Volkerschlacht near Leipzig, but this battle site is not located on the southern battlefield, but north of Leipzig. There the Prussians, under the command of General Yorck, fought against the French corps of Marshal Marmont. Just as Marschall Marmont was to move his corps to the southern battlefield, on the 16th of October, 1813, strong Prussian units appeared, coming from the direction of Halle, near the village of Möckern. Tango01 I'm sure these may have been shown before, but who cares, they are incredible and well worth seeing again. Well done Armand. The problem is that they almost make you want to give up wargaming and get into dioramas instead. But I can imagine the amount of time and effort that must have gone into these scenes, and of course, the cost. Anyway, keep these visual delights coming. I am sure they are liked and appreciated by everyone at TMP. |
