…Troops Saved By Extraterrestrials? "Several authors and researchers now suspect that the famous "Angel of Mons" , described as either St George, St Michael, angels, or crowds of angelic warriors, may in fact have been extraterrestrial beings. During the WWI, many soldiers credited the strange "Angel of Mons" apparitions with saving their lives – and it became a staple of parish magazines. The battle had been one of the first in which the British faced the Germans – and despite retreating, only 1,600 lives were lost. Now, decades later the story still remains a great controversy…" Main page link Amicalement Armand |

Well that would be one way to explain that "event". It was Aliens, ETs, NTIs, etc. I don't know which is more incredible ? Aliens or Angelic beings. But some would/could say they are one and the same … But … Who really knows ? Some are still trying to say the same about the events at Fatima in 1916. |

Why, on the gods' green earth, would either angels or aliens intervene at that exact time and place? |

whenever there is an intervention by anyone (or anything ) it is always at an exact time and place . Perhaps in most cases it goes unnoticed . Think of the stories of a bible stopping a bullet and saving the bearers life – do you hear about the bibles that didn't stop the bullets ?? |

Divine intervention may not be so Divine ? However, many with very strong religious beliefs may see some things "divine" which probably are not ? I'm not one of those for the record … But again … who really knows ? The Truth may be out there … But not here. |

Assuming that the story is not completely fabricated, the most common human physiological cause of 'visions' is sleep deprivation. The description is similar to the hallucinations of long-distance lorry drivers in more recent times, before the introduction of restricted hours permitted for driving per day. Robert |

No, they were not. Yet another stupid WW1 myth that simply will not die. As Robert suggests, mass hallucination due to tiredness is the most likely explanation. link |
