Parliament! Even though I work in Newcastle upon Tyne now which was staunchly Royalist, I am from north Cheshire which supported Parliament.
Incidentally, 'Roundhead' was an insulting term for Parliamentary soldiers, and was banned from being used in Cromwell's Ironsides!

Fairfax side of Parliament. Not a big fan of the puritan ethic

Early Covenanter and/or Leveller faction Parliamentarian.

The Restoration was the greatest calamity to have fallen the country prior to joining the EEC in 1973. FACT.

What? Be those two fallen out then?

General Kirchner30 Jan 2017 10:53 a.m. PST

Parliamentarian.

Though there were plenty of overly greedy manipulators on that side as well.

Not sure we could have gotten our own country, if the king's powers hadn't gotten shorn somewhat.

Weasel30 Jan 2017 12:57 p.m. PST

Closer to Parliament leveller.. you know if I'd been British and all.
