This looks interesting: link However, some of the files are missing. Are there any similarly themed game systems out there? I'm just itching for a reason to buy some rotorcraft, and always stop myself because they just aren't so useful right now. |

Looks interesting. I remember seeing those mentioned years ago, but never tried them. Looks like they'd be great for Vietnam, North Western Europe, or the Middle East. A pity the rule amendments file is missing. I might have to break out my 1/144th SuperCobras, and/or Apaches and give them a go in the sandbox. I suspect that'd be rather fun for that too. I bought another set of helo rules for the Cold War some time back, and played it once. Can't recall the rules name now, but it was very deadly, so meant more for microarmor type games with lots of helos and targets. Pretty much, everything that is seen and fired on dies, rather quickly – ground armor and helos alike. This looks to be more of an RPG-like game, with fewer helos on the table, and a bit more nuance and detail in the combat phases. |

I believe AlCal (if you can find him) was a participant in the LLH Vietnam game (believe it was in 20mm) and rules creation and might have all of the files. If you want to go really small, THW will have a Vietnam rulset next year for 1/600 scale operations with lots of tiny helos buzzing around… |

Have a look at this version Low Level Hell It was based on the excellent Silent Death and needs hexes. We did it in 20mm with hand drawn hex cloths. Nowadays I might do it smaller and use Kallistra hexes When the Warlords decided to work over their old Salute website, a lot of files went missing. Fortunately, we had already moved it here Jeeeez – I just checked. That was twenty years ago! :-( John Treadaway |

I have some spare 1/144th scale SuperCobras and Apaches, if anyone wants some of those to game with. |

Thanks, John! Is there a way to adapt newer aircraft to the system? |
