I was thinking about using the Battlegroup Kursk rules for my 28mm figures. What adjustments would be needed? Maybe add 50 percent or doubling ranges? Thanks for any help.

I would just use them as they are. We play with 20mm and 10 mm figures, using the distances in the rules. For big games we might convert distance to cms when playing with the 10 mm stuff, but the longer distances are good. If you add 50% you would have to convert all of the firing and movement tables, which is a bit of a pain.
Of course, if you have a big playing space, you could follow your suggestion of doubling distances, but it would mean an 88mm gun firing nearly 12 feet on the table!

Most people I know who play Battlegroup in 28mm don't seem to change the ranges… Those who have come to it from Bolt Action find our ranges longer than in BA so the scaling fits for them.

I do know one group playing in 28mm who have increased the ranges but they tend to use big tables.

All depends what you want to do with it really. For an infantry platoon battle on a normal table with a bit of support, I'd probably load the table with terrain and use it as it is.

If doing a more tank-centric engagement from Kursk with a large playing surface, perhaps increase them.

Thanks for the replies. =)

It's mostly going to be an infantry slugfest with a few gun teams and vehicles.

We are playing a game on Sat---first time using 28mm (I have 20mm armies, but friend has 28mm). We plan on using it straight. Will report back on the results.

I play BG with 28mm and 15mm without any changes at all, and it works fine for me.
