While our club's blog was down the past year, I added two Necromunda Gangs to my collection. This is the continuation of a project whereby I cleanup/base/convert Necromunda Gangs and each of my wargame club buddies paints one in exchange for me building and/or painting some terrain for them. These gangs were up at our club's forum, but now what we have a blog again, they're getting a proper introduction to society. Two gang posts for you today. I've included both before-and-after-paint pics. First up is a Cawdor gang painted by my buddy who's tastes run toward the bright and colorful. link
Second is a Delaqueg gang made from converted ERM slicks. Painted by a club member who loves his airbrush. link

Thanks folks! I am pretty taken with the Slick Delaques. Something about a well-executed proxy makes me very happy. |

Some sharp conversions on that's Delaque gang. I regret selling my trench coated gang from Necromunda…they go for a pretty penny nowadays. You may have given me some inspiration and an alternative! |

Prince, I managed to acquire a few GW Delaque but I ended up trading them to the guy who painted my Cawdor for his Delaque gang. I like the slicks alot, but the Heresy Trenchcoat gangers are another great option requiring virtually no conversion. They aren't cheap, but are spectacular figs a blatant interpretation of the Delaque and still cheaper than the originals. Axabrax, Me too. I'm a bit trepedatious as to whether they will do a proper game or just another board-game release. I'll probably buy it anyway, but even if it totally stinks, I'm more than happy to continue using the "Necromunda Community Edition" rules as done by Yaktribe.org. They really clean up, clear up and balance the earlier editions of the rules. |
