link Lone Wolf books were a really big part of my young library. I think I will spend the day replaying Flight from the Dark. In tribute, Im going to also have to include some Giaks to help out the siege of Moria in my Imagi-Nations Middle Earth game. |

In case enough creative people didn't die this year :( I was heavily into the Lone Wolf books and "lived" that world for a while as a kid. |

As a yank, I've never heard of Lone Wolf books. If I wanted to read one, which should I choose? |

Jeff – try Flight From The Dark (the first book). The series is basically a "choose your own adventure", with cool drawings and maps. |

This is awfully sad to hear of. My thoughts are of his family and friends, and everyone – myself included – who delighted in his work. You shall be missed, Mr. Dever. Truly and deeply. |

Only sixty. Shame. RIP, Joe. Lots of illustrations for early Warhammer/White Dwarf and other fantasy. Part of the background of my youth. |

To echo the link to Project Aon, it's worth noting that Dever personally blessed the project, showing what a complete class-act he was. |
