1. I have some Perry plastic ACW figures on order. What type of glue is best to assemble them?
2. Non-wargame related: I'm trying to repair a trophy with a broken hard plastic star on top. I've tried Gorilla glue, Krazy glue, and polystyrene glue, with no success.

Thanks in advance!

1. Testors liquid plastic modeling cement. Apply a brushing to each surface to be joined, sometimes twice.
2. Epoxy

I've had good luck with Testors tube "cement for plastic models" (red label) followed by Testors brush on liquid cement. Do not use the Testors "non-toxic" which appears to be the world's first non-adhesive cement.

I just use Humbol liquid poly cement in a bottle and apply with a brush!

Works just fine.

After several hundred plastic figures, I still use the testors red tube. I'll second on testors blue tube, pure crap.

i am very satisfied with the nontoxic testors glue, and am now using tamiya nontoxic limonene cement, which is perhaps not as good. But still satisfying.
You will simply have to be bit more patient with the glues. But on the other side, it will not melt the fine details of the plastic as the toluen glues does.
Remember all the toxic glues are very toxic, and is in the most toxic categories of chemical things used in the workplace. They will slowly melt the brain :)
Epoxy cement if you use it in work, in Denmark it has an requirement of a thre days course. You risk massive allergies.

What Cyrus the Great said. I'm a recent convert.

Mekpak Liquid Poly is by far and away the best stuff for styrene figures. Put the two surfaces together and brush it on. Best to get it from your nearby Model Railway Shgow or order direct from Squires.

What Cyrus recommended above. The best glue for plastics that I've ever used.

For figures I use Plastruct Plastic Weld (orange label). Goes on easy with the brush and attaches a variety of plastics. It's basically MEK with something in it that keeps it from evaporating immediately. Cheap and fairly widely available.

I've used MEK in the same bottle when I ran out. Works well, but you have to act fast or the glue evaporates before you get the parts together.

I'd second Epoxy for the trophy. Epoxy is my go-to when nothign else works or where you've got a small join area or a heavy item involved.
