… New Release Date!

"If you were unhappy that you had to wait until August 4th, 2017 to check out ‘Alien: Covenant‘ then you'll be happy to hear that the film has been pushed up for a May 19th, 2017 release! That's right ladies and gentlemen, Ridley Scott‘s ‘Prometheus' sequel which is to delve firmly black into the realm of Xenomorph aliens is going to be out a few months earlier and that is not the best treat which could be given to fans this holiday season. A new poster was also released which you see here is clearly showing off an iconic H.R. Giger designed Alien which is also hinting to be front and center in the film.

It is unusual for a potential to get pushed up on the release schedule these days as they tend to have more work needed in post production and if anything is pushed back. However, if anyone would be able to get that done it is a seasoned professional such as Ridley Scott…"

'RUN'

…away from the theatre, yes.

Not excited at all.

It would struggle to be a bigger bunch of piffle than Prometheus.

Still, anything is possible…

It's difficult to remain optimistic.

Most probably one of those movies enhanced with max CGI. So un breathtaking and meh, but maybe just maybe its one of RSs better ones, just maybe, we need and hope for something original, exciting and truly frightening .

While Prometheus was visually stunning in some scenes (all too quickly panned away from, sadly – probably to get you to buy the DVD, or watch it in theaters multiple times), it left a lot to be desired from the plot side of things, at least for me.

Hope this one is better, but my expectations are now rather low.

I shall await objective reviews.

Prometheus was absolutely awful. The writing, plot and character development, even the logic involved were all seriously lacking. Not to mention that, for all the millions spent on CGI, they couldn't achieve the level of artistic cinematography that the original "Alien" achieved with a brief close-up of water dripping off a console or an empty corridor.

I'll wait until this hits Netflix.

Just means that I will be able to not go to it sooner.

I, for one, appreciated the Wiley Coyote "Rolling Spaceship of Doom" scene, myself!

Lol, Wile E. Coyote is right!

Couldn't those women just move to the right or the left? Didn't the scientist one know a little of Newton's inertia laws and that the rolling ship would most likely continue on a straight line until it ran out of momentum?

On visuals I gave Prometheus an A. As for the other categories …

On the other hand, seeing as how everything's being turned into musicals these days, perhaps it's time for "Alien: The Musical":
