I've recently returned from another meeting of The League of Gentlemen Wargamers up in Scotland. The weekend was themed around Napoleons retreat from Moscow in 1812. The weekend's games, three scenarios of six being played by each player on the Saturday, followed by a big game on the Sunday were all devised by Charlie Grant and one in particular caught my eye. It is a raiding game originaly designed by Charles Grant Snr. I've done my own version of it for use with Piquet rules (though it would be easily converted to any rule set) set in the SYW, featuring Russians and Prussians. I hope you find it useful. The force sizes will make it accessable to most gamers and it could be easily converted to almost any period, including fantasy or sci-fi. link

Thanks for sharing such a well designed version of the generic scenario. I'd like to use it for AWI or Northwest Frontier of India! |
