I bought these figures along with other mounted Afghans from Jazz Age Imperialism on the Empress Miniatures site some time ago. All of the horses with the sets are in some form of standing pose. They are considerably larger then the ponies (Foundry and Old Glory)that my Afghan tribal cavalry is currently riding. Maybe they are 30-32mm scale. It just dawned on me recently to use them as mounted Afghan commanders as I was lacking in those types. I have mixed their Afghan foot figures in with my tribal infantry (Studio, Old Glory, Foundry) and I am okay with the mix.I just left out the modern rifles.Don't recall where I got the flag though.

Very nice, Rhinigyll! IMHO they definitely fit the role as senior commanders. I see you mounted them together on a single base. Even though I'm a diehard TSATF single-figure-per-base gamer… sometimes I wish I did the same with my own command and artillery bases. Nice flag, BTW!

Rhinigyll, I agree with Mad Guru, very nice Pathan command stand. That should fit in perfectly with your awesome collection. I was motivated and just made myself some Pathan and Afghan flags using Pages on an iPad.
Cheers,
JB
