These are the subjects of a really imaginative choice of topic….not sure how Napoleonic, beyond early days. "Wrong scale" of course, but I do gather there are those who have not yet discovered TOTS. I really do want more civilians of any nation. Hope these are positively received………..I'll say no more. I have radically edited what came next, (my worries about the possible responses these days), within the 60 minutes allowed me to alter. |

At least some of them are probably working, not resting: e.g., selling cloth, oranges, and other things; taking care of a child; and performing music. |

It is interesting to notice. That these could be used for many eras. All the way up to the present, I'd think. |

Not clear from his link. Are these commercially available or something he created himself? The accessories are delightful. They look like resin castings |

They should do 1/72 Harrods bags and Lamborghinis. Then you could use them for modern skirmish games. |

deadhead These are Nikolai figures (not the best of painting here, one could do better). They are resin, indeed. The sculptor is Erik Trauner. You can buy them here (ranges "Arabische Zivilisten" and "Zubehoer"): link or here (ranges "Figuren Arabisch" and "Figuren Zubehör"): link He also has a homepage (not quite up to date, it seems) but doesn't sell his figures himself anymore: diorama-dreamland.at In my opinion, Erik Trauner is by far the best of all 1/72 scale figure sculptors and probably the only one who would be able to make authentic Napoleonic bands – as he is also a professional musician and – despite the fact that his preferred music styles appear to be Jazz and Blues – he therefore should have an advanced knowledge of how instruments look like and are handled. I'm convinced that he would be able to acquaint himself very quickly with Napoleonic era instruments and could represent them in an absolutely perfect way. Unfortunately, Erik Trauner is not in Napoleonics (better for him as he would be inundated with demands). Well, for once, he should do something Napoleonic – as a tribute to his Napoleonic fellow musicians. Perhaps, that perception could convince him?…;-) |

That is a superb link to a company I had not encountered, I guess as not quite my favoured scale. But some of the scenic items are quite superb. The pigs and chickens and ducks etc might be bit small for 28mm but I can live with scrawny creatures. Thanks for this! If you do look, check out the other periods covered. Much of use in Napoleonic era. I did express concern at how this would be received, but then deleted it in case I only stirred it up more! |

I think these figures are quite nice. |

I just hope the whole thread is not censored overnight as the figures are well worth showing and finding the makers' site is a real plus. If only folk would do the obvious and tell us what manufacturer created their miniatures and in what scale, ideally with a link |
