With the British attempting to pacify the southern colonies, a column under Sir Gerrard Mandering moves into Trump County, North Carolina to collect sword statements of loyalty to the Crown from the population.  Sadly, things don't go to plan.  As you can read here:

It was an unusual game due to attempts to represent horrific weather conditions (which we will do slightly differently next time), but it was a close run thing.  AWI really is one of my favourite periods for Sharp Practice as the troops variation is so wide and varied and the rules really allow that to come out.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the report.

That looks like an excellent game. Can I ask where you got those great buildings and church? I think they would work for my battler of Trenton.

I watched the progress of those buildings being built by hand on the Lardies' Twitter posts.

I certainly can. The church is Renedra as is one of the barns. The 'brown' wooden colour buildings are Hovels 25mm range (which work perfectly well with 28mm), as is the white painted larger manor type building. The white smaller building is Perry Miniatures. Some of the outhouses are from Hovels, some from the sadly defunkt Snapdragon Studios.

The fences I got on eBay from a chap caller treefella.1 I have subsequently met him at a UK show and he produces some very nice stuff indeed.

I hope that helps.

I initially read the British commander as Sir Gerrard Meandering, which given the description of his wandering to and fro before the battle seemed appropriate!

Beautiful game by the way; really first class figures and terrain.

Thanks for that info Rich.

Hmm, I have that Renedra church to do someday, don't think I'll get it as nicely weathered as that!

Trump county,NC? :) and what is this, the British commander wasn't a Clinton?

Nice write up. Always a joy to read.

Very nice report and fabulous table and figures!

I am very much looking forward to the SP2 Campaign Supplement… and I hope some pint-sized type campaigns!

Great photos and cracking good looking game! I'll take a copy of the SP 2 Campaign Supplement as soon as it comes out.
