If you've looked at the Rules Directory lately, then you know that out of 255 listed Ancients rulesets, the top ten are: 1. Glutter of Ravens 2. Roman Seas 3. A Fistfull of Miniatures 4. To the Strongest! 5. Portable Wargame: Ancients 6. In Death Ground 7. Hail Caesar 8. Ram Speed 9. Legio VIII 10. De Bellis Antiquitatis (DBA) Do you disagree? If so, please browse the Ancients listings and add your ratings to those games you have experience with. TMP link If a ruleset is missing, please drop me a PM so Editor Julia and I can add it. |

I do disagree … that the input portrays any sort of "Top Whatever" list. I think you might be going out of your way to make your lists have some sort of deeper meaning than "random sample of internet opinions". |

Since only three of the rules on your list are popular ancients rules, yes I disagree. |

It's a silly business conducting voluntary polls and taking any meaning from them. |

You probably need a minimum number of votes made before rules qualify for counting in a top ten. |

Yes, will probably implement that when we get enough votes into the system. Current Top Ten: 1. Ancient Warfare (Milgamex) 2. Mortem et Gloriam 3. Glutter of Ravens 4. Dux Bellorum 5. Comitatus 6. Legio VI Constantiani 7. Civitates Bellantes 8. In Death Ground 9. Ram Speed 10. Legio VIII |

Well how many votes do you have in the system currently? It can' be many given the list you're offering. Looks like all one needs to do is have a small circle of friends submit votes and bingo! You're on the charts. As I said before, silly. |

Part of the reason many of those titles are there is because *I* voted for them. Not because my vote counts by so much but because nobody has rated anything yet. So, as the Editor has stated, these are the current top 10 as seen by the TMP membership. |

More people will vote, and the ratings will improve in value. |

I really must be getting old – I've not heard of at least 6 from each of those top ten listings! Either that or I'm simply too young to remember them!!! ;-) |

You're on the charts. As I said before, silly. You don't even need a small circle of friends, you only need one vote. Give your own rules a 10 and they go straight to the top ! There needs to be a minimum number of votes to be counted in any rankings otherwise they are meaningless. Even if the minimum is set quite low to begin with (say 5, or maybe as low as 3) this will still get rid of the obscure sets of rules with just one or two votes. Looking at the current rankings, the top six rules all only have one vote. If you restricted the rankings to rules with 5 or more votes, the top ten would actually consist of rules that are popular and highly rated. |

Basic Impetus. An elegant set of rules. |

If you restricted the rankings to rules with 5 or more votes, the top ten would actually consist of rules that are popular and highly rated. Or could let users set the # of votes required. Basic Impetus. An elegant set of rules. Already listed. TMP link |
