Have you guys ever heard of the mural paintings at the Oriz Palace at Pamplone? Apparently they were made in the 1550s to celebrate Charles V victories in germany. Some pieces of Armor seemed a little odd to me, but I still think those paintings can be useful for reconstructing Spanish military dress of the period Here is a link to one of the paintings: link |

Thanks. These look indeed a bit like some mixture of German and Spanish (given the composition of his army, that is not unexpected). I should look for better pictures… Any idea who the artist was? |
