At waterloo the brittish had 6 pounders 9 pounders and 5,5 how
Was just wondering how many were brass bronze or iron? or if all were iron , what i know is that at this time in history iron cannon were preferred over bronze as they were cheaper

The British field artillery at the time was mostly bronze. There were some iron pieces but they were limited to siege, maritime and fortress pieces. The guns on the ridge at Mont Sainte Jean would have been bronze.

British field artillery was bronze, as it was the best material for field pieces. Iron was too brittle and tended to burst when fired.
