Last night the model building club that meets at the Hobbytown in Norman, OK had its annual Model Action. While I am not a true model enthusiast, I do supplement my miniature armies with model planes. Last night I scored some real bargains. I was able to find planes to use in my modern African war armies, my Vietnam War forces, my Banana War projects, and some Pulp adventure projects that I am working on. I ended up acquiring about $250 USD worth of planes for $16. USD This is the first event like this that I have ever attended. There were a number of people who bought some models worth $20 USD – $30 USD for between 25 and 50 cents a piece. Next time that the group sponsors another auction, I will make sure and post the news year to let people know. Judging from the bargains last night, I would say that it would be worth driving a couple of hours to take advantage of the auction. Kevin |
