There are finally going to be some all plastic Thousand sons figures out soon.

They look pretty great too. Pretty much exactly what you would want from the dust-that-walks marines.

In addition to regular marines Ahriman is getting a new figure:

The marines themselves come with some different weapons options, which is nice that they aren't all just bolter armed:

There will be Terminators too:

And sorcerers:

But the thing I find most interesting is that they are releasing 40K Tzaangors:

These are the first dedicated Beastmen I've seen for 40K for about 20 years.

You have usually been able to field them one way or another in your chaos armies, and they were easy enough to convert, but dedicated 40K beastmen are pretty cool.

Other than the weapons I don't see anything on them that screams 40K over AoS so maybe I can get some and convert them for use in my Tzeentch AoS army too. But they might have some out for AoS before I get around to that.

It will be a nice bump to the Thousand Sons as I've always wondered how they managed to keep going for the past 10,000 years with only 1242 of them making it off of Prospero.

The one thing that I'm pessimistic about is that they are calling them Rubric Marines instead of Thousand Sons.

This leads me to believe that they won't be fixing the whole Tzeentch dedicated marines should not always be Thousand Sons.

Sure you could fluff around it but it was something that made the Thousand Sons unique and there should be rules for Black Legion, say, marines that want to dedicate themselves to Tzeentch. They don't become Thousand Sons, why would anyone do that.

Looking at the pictures more closely it looks like a lot of the Thousand Sons are equipped with flamers. That is interesting.

Also it is nice to see the Terminators in Tartaros pattern armour. A good nod to 30K.

Pretty nifty, too.

Looks like the color pallet is shifting to more green then blue. I do like the resurrection of beastmen units. I hope to see more.

I am weak willed, how can I resist!

Der Krieg Geist, thanks for that. I see it now.

Good. Let's hope there are some generic Tzeentch dedicated marines in our future.

First 40K stuff I've seen from GW in a couple of years that I might actually purchase.

Pictors Studio20 Nov 2016 2:50 p.m. PST

Me too, on that score, lots of 30K stuff, but this and the Genestealer cult stuff is the first stuff I've seen in a while for 40K that I've wanted.

Those beastmen may find a home in my fantasy RPG's (not blue and with weapons swaps…)

I hope they now do beastmen for the other chaos Gods, starting with Nurgle :D

They used to, back in the old days – anyone else remember Pestigors and Khornegors? I had several blisters worth of each.
