I've only recently learned about Gaming Models that produces 1/100 (15mm) WW2 vehicles, while searching for a Type 3 Chi-Nu. How is their quality compared with other more well known metal model brands (Peter Pig, Skytrex, QRF etc.)? Their website: gamodls.com/index.html |

Everything is cast in resin, including guns. They come pre-painted, usually on a solid color. The casting quality varies widely. I have never seen better cast landing craft, but that is a different resin. Some models come with pitted surfaces. I suggest you buy samples first before you commit yourself. They may or may not be suitable for you. That's wholly your decision. I like the price, speed of delivery and the fact you can order one at a time. All I usually repainted is tired on armored cars. |

They are not quite as detailed, especially the running gear, but are reasonably decent. I just primed a Chi-Nu today! It is the best Chi-Nu on the market ~,~ I picked up a few of their other models to check out. If I was building up large forces in bulk, I would go with more of their models. Since I'm doing small teams for Girls und Panzer games, I opted to go with Quality Casting for other Japanese tanks (1/106, not 1/100, but nicely detailed). Then for other tanks in metal, I prefer Skytrex, Peter Pig, and QRF in that order (QRF last only because of skinny gun barrels). My first two choice are Plastic Soldier Company and Zvezda. Battlefront resin/metal models are my last resort, I would take GM over them. |

Anything with a long barrel gun – the gun barrel WILL break eventually. They will not win awards for best models but are quite acceptable on the game table. A further plus is that they come "assembled". No gluing together parts that just don't fit correctly due to issues with the mold. |

Here are a few photos that include a few of the Gaming Models' French tanks: link Like this one with tank on the right-hand-side:

I've painted quite a lot of them for a client, and a few for myself. As Dynaman said, gun barrels especially long ones are prone to breakage, as are some bits of the bodies. But the price can't be beat, and they really only need a wash, weahtering, tracks and maybe a few details. |

I have bought some of their early Russian tanks and some armoured cars for the SCW and they were brilliant castings. As noted above the barrels are fragile and one of my BT5s needed a replacement but the detail is excellent and delivery was very fast to the UK. |

Agree with the statements that some models are of higher quality than others but all are completely worth their price. To that I will add that you can order them completely unpainted if so desired. I have done that with all my orders. Also, I have had prompt service and have never had to deal with any errors. I recommend them as a good company to deal with. |

I love the ones I have. The price is right for bunches of T-34's |

I've only gotten Shermans and PzIV from him, but they're pretty nice. They look great on the table. Really lightweight as well. Worth the price for sure, especially if you need hordes of them. Paul |

Love Gaming Models. Craig does take suggestions. I do hope he produces the "Paper Panzers"! |
