I've started painting a fleet for use with Imperial Skies. I'm starting with a Turkish fleet. These models belong to a buddy, but I have purchased a few of my own to expand the fleet a bit.
These painted quicker than I thought they would. I hope to be able to finish the fleet pretty quickly. More pictures and details can be found on my blog. link |

I look forward to seeing them go down in flames! Of course, I may well be driving them when that happens… However, my having some A-H and Itai ships in the wings means they won't lack historically apropos enemies. Not that THAT would be an impediment. Call me the Great Justifier! ;->= Truly handsome in 'the flesh.' I still feel gobsmacked by the effect of the 'simple' paint on the windows. I think it really looks like sky reflection. Doug |

sean68333 your Turks are looking good so how many ships are in this Fleet? I'm in the middle of painting up some French while my friend is painting some of my Russians for me. But then I have many ships I'm working on. |

Frostie: I have the KS Japanese fleet, but hasn't seen paint, or light of day, for a bit. I just bought the Austro-Italian starter pack from ScaleCreep, with others having Brit and German models, I've been pushing for a Mediterranean campaign, whether strict or 'narrative.' Nice. Would like to see the Italian fleet. I painted one quite recently.. And VERY handsome, indeed! I'm thinking my two opponents will probably be all white, with the Hapsburgs just detailed in gold, while the Italian will have portions red and green, perhaps red/white candy stripes on the fore? Sorry, A&AM Italian ship collection at work on my brain. FWIW, Sean is the busy beaver; I move glacially. Doug Edit: Sean, you did say you had some French to declare 'Mare Nostrum' as well, if I remember correctly. |

@Captain Gideon: The ship pictured here belongs to TheBeast. I have painted 4 models of this class and will be painting 4 war balloons that belong to him as well. I've purchased a Barbaros Heyreddin battleship and 6 Keyk patrol digs and 6 Yarhisar fast torpedo digs to add to the fleet. So when I'm done and I add TheBeast's models with mine, the fleet will have 21 ships in it. |

sean68333 for me painting my Turks was easier than painting some of the other Nations ships but you're doing a fine job. |

@Captain Gideon: There is a pretty limited palette for the Turks. I started on some small ships for my French fleet last night. I didn't make a ton of progress, but they look alright so far. |

sean68333 the colors I use for the French is: Hull-Black Upperworks/Guns-Brown Deck-Tan I use Citidel colors and the names are slightly different. But then each person paints his ships somewhat different from each other. What I try to do is paint the ships as they were in WWI but some of the Nations(like the South American ones)might be harder to paint. |
