very nice paint and basing work indeed and very inspiring. Can I ask you which Regt is depicted and what uniform sources did you use as reference for the uniform colors? There seem to be not certain data available for the uniforms of the Horse Grenadiers regts, at list as far as I know in English/translated from Russian sources. All four of them being somewhat speculative (like the Osprey's Kropotov's regt depicted in Armies of Peter the great vol. 2 in blue/trimmed red like yours).
I am going to paint mine as well based on the "speculative colors" reported from the available sources anyway.
Great work.
Cheers

Hi Samurai Freddy these are indeed Kropotov's taken from both tacitus website and Osprey Peter the Greats Army. Much of the information on the Russians seems speculative.

Hi Roger, really nice pieces ( as usual). Looking at the Ebor site I did not found Russian Horse Grenadiers, so how do you arrived to produce such a beautiful unit? Your pieces inspired me and I'm following your advise and I started my Swedish GNW army with Ebor miniatures, 1st Kronoberg Btg quite finished and Danish Prinds Georg on the line.

Brilliant news II Granatiere. Nick at Ebor has both Russian Horse Grenadiers and Russian foot along with a few other things, available but not loaded to website yet. He did suggest he might use the photos of my painted figures as the picture for his web page. Either way they are there along with marching swedes and Nick will organize them for you if you email him.

Roger, thanks for this great new! I will surely contact Nick to order some Russian infantry and cavalry. Is my intention to have different units, clearly Swedish and Russian but also Danish, Saxons and Prussian.
I will post photos of my first unit as soon as I finish it.
Thanks again for your support.

Absolute pleasure, after the Swedes the Saxons are my favourite. I have 4 foot and 2 horse so far. My wargaming chum Mark is doing the danes and they have some really nice units, the Jyske Currassier in breastplate and german helmet in particular, plus the Norwegians in caps!

I look forward to seeing the fruits of your labour!
