I am a 20mm guy just getting a few(roflmao) tanks etc. For 15mm. I really don't care for bases on my armor and wonder if the bases on Forged in Battle mini tanks are molded on? Help appreciated.

Yes, the bases on Forged in Battle models are part of the casting. You could sand them off if you want to spend the time and have a good belt sander, but care must be used!

Two things I like about FiB:

Their platoons have many vehicles with very different stowage.
Assembly super easy, like three parts so I can paint them super fast

Bases are rather discreet and I don't mind but I can understand you may not want them if it is a blocking point.

One other advantage is that I can hold the vehicles by the bases rather than putting my big fingers on the paint job (it drives me crazy :) )

I like bases on my vehicles. Gives me something to handle the miniature by without touching the model itself. I also attach magnet sheets to the bottoms of the bases so they sit securely in my metal storage boxes.

Not to mention good ventilation and a very good dust mask.

You do NOT want to be breathing resin dust!

The biggest problem I have with the FIB bases is that they are too small, and I'm certainly not going to try and sand them off. So I end up sticking the FIB stuff onto card bases, which makes them ever thicker…

Not my first choice of 15mm vehicles, but they are reasonably good value and easy to put together.
