Just read that Robert Vaughan, the last of the surviving actors who portrayed the Magnificent Seven has died. I'll be running a Magnificent Seven game in December in his honor. Of course, I'm talking about the original, and best, version of the film.

Yes, I grew up watching 'the man from uncle' – another name from my past is no more…

Was a Man from UNCLE fan as a kid and The Magnificent Seven is one of my favourite, maybe top western.
RIP Mr Vaughn

Loved him in The Man from U.N.C.L.E..

His portrayal of the German Major leading the defense of the Remagen Bridge was compelling and inspiring.

Robert Vaughn was a fine actor. It's a pity he didn't get more leading roles in movies before his heyday faded.

Yup, another Man From Uncle fan. More like fanatic at the time. Guns, spies, sexy women, what more could a 12-13 year old want? And Vaughn was so cool! RIP.

He braved the wasteland as a teenage caveman.

A great actor, with a fabulous career. I enjoyed him every bit as much when, in his 70s, he played Albert in Hustle, as when he was in The Man from Uncle and The Magnificent Seven in his prime. RIP

One of my personal favorites, who could play a complex good guy, and pretty damn cold bad guy. Remember him in "Bullet"?

Yes, I'm getting a little lonelier as my cinema and television friends pass….

One of my favorite actors! He had a very unique style of acting. His 'fly catching' scene in Magnificent Seven is classic!

Another icon of my youth gone. His work gave me much enjoyment. RIP.

I think I'm getting old no matter what the 16 year-old in my head tells me.
