On Monday we're going to try out the Hail Caesar rules. We've played Black Powder and Pike & Shotte so we're doing simple "learn the rules bash." Probably more of a line up and go kinda thing. I've made movement trays and am doing all the flocking. the bases were plain green from the painter and I intended to do the flocking over the winter…. Here is the muster. Up first, Vikings:
And here are the Saxons:
Figues are a mix of everything under the sun. Black Hat. Donnington, Two Dragons, Khurasan, Splintered Light and Baueda. Figures painted by Evil Bob. More pics to follow on this thread over the weekend. |

Remember the key differences of supports fighting, alignment to charge and alignment for proximity, evades, and sweeping advance rules, plus the general fighting rules are more involved. |

I use HC for my dark age battles and I think it's tons of fun. I have viking, norman, and saxon armies of various sizes. good luck keeping the rules straight. I found that BP and HC are similar and different enough to cause confusion. When I use HC at conventions I often tell the crowd to forget BP as it will only confuse you. have fun! |
