I actually really like this scheme, is a real throw back to when they used to do the pics of the different color schemes and camos for the different campaigns from the old White Dwarf mags and the old RT Chapter Approved book. |

I think GW wanted to appeal to a larger target audience. So they "dumbed down" some things as time went on. They wanted to make more  , I get that … So by GW painting everything in circus colors, it appeals to more "kids" who like bright shiny things !
Being an old school war gamer, since the '60s. Then playing 1 to 1 scale war games from '79-'90, in the Army. I just couldn't see a bright orange tank or … well … anything like that ! There was a reason why from WWI on militaries started to paint things in camo colors. I know this is sci-fi, but like in all sci-fi. I feel one has to decide how far his imagination will go. And how far one wants to suspend beliefs in science, reality, etc. ! |
