I am on the downhill run of my Celts I have been working on since Christmas. All I have left is a chariot and the command figures. The Black Tree Design command figures are fine for the heroes and command in the line units but I am looking for something more dynamic and inspiring for the army commands and camp. Who in your opinion make the best command figures for a Celt army? While size compatibility with BTD is a plus, I am not overly worried if there is some difference since they will be based on their own vignette stands.

Thanks in advance, here's a peak at the nucleus of a veteran unit:

Renegade Celts are beautifully sculpted, but not as dynamic as they might be. Their Mythic command set has some possibilities, too. link

Alternative Armies makes fantasy Celts, but their Connor Mac Nessa set would make a nice centerpiece: link

I'd highly 2nd the recommendation of Relic. VERY nice Celtic lead figures. When time comes, I'll be getting some myself.

Especially look at the Gallic Chieftain model under the "Big Minis" tab (he's not in the "Gaul" tab) – he especially looks very good, as well as the Brennus for foot command.

Gorgon have a few unique figures – a warrior and a couple of druids – that would make a nice addition I would htink.

I'd go for Renegade, myself. Great minis!

The AA line is nice, but some are weird sculpts. Overall, very good though, with plenty of character.

All very good recommendations.

I do like Relic's Gallic figures and certainly second the recommendation for Brennus. Am forming a noble warband from his veterans.

Warlord has just released Vercingetorix (not everyone's cup of tea) which is large and compatible with BTD. link

They also do various Celtic command figures as well as some carts which would be handy for any camp.

thanks everyone. I have placed an order with Relic and Warlord this afternoon. Will probably order some of the others after payday.
