Found this PDF guide to the panoply and dresses used by Western warriors in Medieval Spain (IX to XI Centuries), written by a reenactor. It is in Spanish, but maybe you can find it useful anyway. link |

Most of the drawings are based on Spanish manuscripts of the Commentary on the Apocalypse by Beatus of Liébana, but there is a drawing after the Baldishol Tapestry, Hedmark, Norway, 12th century, and a few from the Bayeux Tapestry Other Spanish sources are: Casket with spearmen, Northern Spain, 8th-10th century, Glencairn Museum Valenciennes – BM – ms. 99, The Apocalypse, Spanish, early 9th century Spanish soldiers in Biblia de San Isidoro de Leon, 960AD 11th century Catalonian Soldiers in Biblia Sancti Petri Rodensis – the Roda Bible, Spain, c.1050-1100 Druzhina Illustrations of Spanish Costume & Soldiers |
