Beautiful looking painting Legion, I really do prefer your subtle realistic colour schemes. I'm trying to work out how to scale down my painting techniques for 6mm infantry, any advice would be much appreciated. |

Thank you ! Yes, I always use tac/camo colors. No circus colors in my armies ! |

For painting 6mm Infantry. I base paint a darker color than I want the end result to be. Like in this case. A Dark Green, with a black wash. Then lightly dry brush a lighter color or so of the base color. Like in this case a lighter green. And that can easily be done by adding white to the original base color of the model(s). Then detail like the faces, hands with a flesh tone, then maybe give a very light was of a light-med brown. The weapons black then whatever metallic color you want. Then a thin wash of black. And maybe then highlight the weapon with the original or lighter color. Just like with the uniforms. Boots – black then a lighter shade of black or gray. Hope that helps !

Cheers Legion thats exactly what I need. Plain bases work perfectly by the way, definitely nicking that idea. |

Very glad to help ! Yes, in SM1 Bases were not flocked. And we kept it that way. Besides being messy, and an extra step, but sometimes it detracts from the models. |
