I've just launched a Kickstarter called the Tabletop Hex Terrain Toolkit. It's currently 300% funded and lets you cut accurate interlocking hexes (including hills, cliffs and rivers) from polystyrene. Take a look – I think you'll be impressed: link |

That is probably one of the coolest kickstarters I have seen. Great idea, and decent price too. |

Definitely one of the most original and useful ones that I have seen. |

Masterful! Maybe soonish… If only he'd had not this music half covery what he says. |

Glad to hear people like it. Jcfrog – sorry if the music detracted – I did try to keep it quiet enough. I have added subtitles which you can turn on by clicking the 'cc' button on the bottom right of the video, if that helps. |

What an incredibly clever idea! |

Looks good. If i had a concern it would be aligning the top and bottom basic hex jig. Putting bolts though – unless dead on 90• will introuce minor variations in the vertical sides as they are cut (ie the two pieces may mot be 100% above/below each other But will be interested to see how people get on And of course, cutting hundreds of foam hexes is one thing – finishing them is another – says the guy with tube loads of GHQ foam hexes |

Great idea. It doesn't look like there is an option to get a bigger jig to make larger hexes(unless I missed it) which is too bad. |
