This match up marks the final game of the series "Severan Rome" and nicely bench marks the start of my next project – From Migration to Kingdom – which begins this coming Monday. link Cheers, Robert |

Well the young bucks certainly have vigor don't they. Do you have two Early Frankish armies, or are there going to be situations when the same group of Foederati has been hired to fight itself? |

Neither side deployed barbarian allied contingents for this game. However, other than the Tervingi, I am currently painting Early Franks with the Gepid and Vandals primed and ready. As feoderati, the Franks were normally used to fight Germanic tribes of other nations and there were enough; Alamanni, Vandal and Burgundian. Although, there are references to the Silurian Franks (as feoderati) fighting their cousins in early 5th century AD. I do have a historical scenario involving two barbarian armies each with a barbarian allied contingent. This should be ready in two weeks time. Cheers, |

I have to say that your DBA "system" is very impressive, include the way the minis look on your terrain. I like the minis to stand out a bit, so you can see some color, but not too much. For some reason, I was consistently underwhelmed when you used to post your army-painting progress on Fanaticus, but they look excellent on your terrain. I guess context is everything. :-) Mark H. |

Mark, Thank you for the comments. The terrain pieces are constantly being revised or improved upon after viewing photos of these battles. Difficult hills and fields are next on my list. |
