They come up well Mike, unit size is always a vexed issue. From my perspective (Hail Caesar) 24 with command is fine but others will have differing views. Smaller unit deals are fine as long as you can supplement them with just enough figures to make up numbers. The new transfers look very good. With your transfers – do you cut out both boss and spine before applying to the shield? Have done this for some Gauls but can the spine be left in place? Thanks for the latest shipment by the way, arrived in good order and will be in the painting queue for XMAS! Garry |

Thanks Gary. The spine should be clipped out, along with the boss. These transfers allow you allot of opportunity to fine tune where the transfer is finally going to sit. I recommend good old "white glue" to be added to the shield surface by brush before laying down the transfer. That will ensure that the transfer seals around the boss and will not allow any further washes to find their way under the transfer. Just finished three sets for Galatians as well. These Galatian designs will go with the Hellenistic style thureos to turn Celts into Galatians. Glad to hear from you, you sound well! Mike |

Using a decal setter and softener while pressing down on the transfer to help the transfer adhere to the shield works really well. Adding softener and pressing periodically works on even some of the most curved or domed shields with minimal to no folds. |
