So, I just got my 2 nd Canadian Regiment conversions back from Chuck LaPine, who painted the scrolling on the caps for me. I used the wonderful Battle Honors bodies, while replacing the heads with Kings Mountain miniatures heads. The KMM heads have "COR" sculpted on the caps. John Bryant did the original figure painting, using the brown, faced white, uniform. I'll get some pix up later. Research shows that Brandywine would be the most active battle for them, so I am leaning towards that. It appears that Hazen's men were guarding a Winstar's and Buffington's fords and notified GW of the British flanking movement. GW chose to ignore the warning which proved to be a huge mistake. The unit suffered almost 75 casualties that day. I'm think that I am going to deviate from my usual basing method of 6 stands of 6 figures per stand, for a total of 36 figures per unit. Instead, I'm going to use these on small. amoeba shaped. cuts of MDF, that I sanded down and primed. Each base will be a mini diorama, that you can group together as one larger piece. Like I did with the Morgan's Riflemen dioramas and several others. Anyone have pix of the fords in question? I would appreciate any help on the type of terrain to model. |

Here are a few pix of some of the figures. Basing will begin this week. I have an image of a C O R flag. Anyone adept at making a full flag from half? [URL=http://s222.photobucket.com/user/nevinsrip/media/IMG_2829_zpsqvs2erq1.jpg.html]

A nice match up -- the Battle Honours bodies with the King's Mountain Miniatures heads. Does COR stand for Congress' Own Regiment? |
