Here is a 28mm sailor that can be used for a wide range or era's… It was digitally sculpted, and output on a DLP/SLA type 3d printer. I trimmed off the supports, and gave him a very quick, basic paint job so you can see what he looks like. It is my plan to make a range of figure in action poses ( sail handling on the yard, climbing the rigging, working the guns, etc ) and will include Officers, mid-shipmen and common sailors. I will likely start with 18th C British Royal Navy, and AWI period American Navy subjects, and if the reception is good, will work on French, Spanish and Dutch subjects as well. Many of the common seamen will work for a broad range, but uniformed officers will need to be a bit more specific. The production figures will likely be offered in both resin and pewter. -Joe

Looks good. What is really needed for small boats and possibly longboats, sloops, etc., is a rudder man, seated, and/or standing, and holding the tiller. Need pirates, government troops, etc., since there are few if any one offer. |

Yes, I agree….I will be doing one crew for the ship's wheel, and one on a tiller, as well as oarsman rowing for small boats like the Captain's gig. I have seen a great many Pirate figures out there, but the gov't troops like Royal Marines are indeed lacking. We all need marines firing from the Top's, or a grapling hook thrower for the boarding party… :) Joe |

Very nice. I have a couple laser dreamworks ships so I would love to have crew for my rigging and guns. 28mm is the scale for me. I have Napoleonic era Royal Marines and need ship's crew for my cutting out party scenarios I run using Sharp Practice rules. |

Very much interested in this. It will fill a gap that really needs filling! |

This figure is available now, in resin, for $4.95 USD. Other figures are being done for this line. Message me for ordering info…. Joe |

Any more action on this front? Is this figure out there? Are there any additional figures. Where can it/they be found? |

This is a nice figure but you wouldn't want a whole crew made up of this pose. Better to make it more generic with no weapons. Then weapons could be added. |
