To be a parka, a jacket must have a hood; it's the definition, from the original Inuit word. So it does not look like they are wearing parkas. That being said, they are good-looking figures with unusual and believable outfits that would work well in many science fiction settings. |

I have a hi-viz padded jacket with a quote lightweight hood but into the padded collar. Does that count, parker-wise? If so who knows what SF shenanigans are built into their apparel! John |

@John Treadaway: I don't think a jacket can have a stow-away hood and still be called a parka. It would be a "jacket with concealed hood" or something. The hood is an intrinsic part of the visual presentation of the parka. There is also a maximum length for a parka, which I think is mid-thigh or knee, but I'm not sure. |
