Perryville is great and quite unspoiled, Bentonville end of the war and the result was close but by that point the war was already won, Chickamauga lots of interesting events and the interpersonal actions on both sides, Monocacy a classic delaying action although neither side knew that was what was happening, Shiloh almost two different battles. |

Antietam. I like it much more than Gettysburg because there are fewer tourist traps. It just feels more unspoiled. |

Naseby Northampton Edgcote I think it is good that we now know where the battle called Bosworth Field was actually fought. If I didn't have some responsibilities for Northamptonshire's battles, Bosworth would be near my top. In the US I like Antietam and Saratoga. Phil |

Always enjoy trips to Killiekrankie and Drumclog. Both local and last summer went to Bukovina, WW1 Battlefield, very different to the Western Front. jon |

Pea Ridge: nice flat battlefield, in the mountains. |

I can't choose! Gettysburg is one of my favorites, but also Antietam, specifically the area of the Ninth Corps attacks, which has received a lot of attention in recent years. |

Vicksburg, because two of my great grandfathers were there helping defend the city from the rapacious Yankees. Jim |

I like Antietam (about an hour from my house) Gallipoli is amazing, though a bit challenging to visit. Cowpens is worth the visit and you can pretty much see the entire battlefield no matter where you stand (it's really small). |

The Battle of Britain just because I still pass buildings with bullet holes in tbem (and rows of houses with incongruous new ones slotted into a line lf pre-war ones courtesy of bombing damage) on a very regular basis, I guess. And I like planes. John T |

1.Antietam – Less cluttered with monuments. Best time to visit is July 1-3, everyone is at Gettysburg. 2.Gettysburg – Too much clutter, but still a favorite. 3. Pea Ridge – Clean battlefield. Even the locals don't know about it, so no huge crowds. |
