Figures look nice, but buyer beware on the German's uniform! I may be wrong, but the second color scheme, with the German in feldgrau is correct. The other uniform is parade dress. |

Some reserve units did go to war in 1914 wearing the old blue uniforms but I couldn't say for sure than any of them were Hussars. One fighting a Brit in a tin hat is, of course, ludicrous. |

It is an attractive artistic rendering, but there is much I question about the hussar. Compare the figure to this period photo
How many of you have tried riding a horse with a rifle slung across your back? Note that their carbines are in scabbards. Swords are hung from the saddles as well. The hussars in the photo are not wearing the Attila (jacket) but I believe this maybe that they are a reserve regiment. Compare the boots on the men in the photo to that on the figure. link |
