Don't know that game but if you're looking for a game to play with youngsters, try this:

It uses plastic soldiers and cannon. It has all 4 games (Ligny. Wavre, Quatre Bras and Waterloo).

Plenty easy for younger players to understand.

Hi Parrskool,

Maybe have look to "Waterloo 1815, Napoleon last battle " from Trafalgar edition

link

The designers will add information in english soon. The game looks quite easy to catch .The rules are also in english and they offer a free scenarios book and a gamer's guide with the purchase.

Yes… A nice idea and just the thing …. but perhaps a tad on the expensive side.

vtsaogames30 Oct 2016 3:58 p.m. PST

Simple and fast, 15-30 minutes per game and the price is right: W1815.

Re : Price ..I was referring to Napoleons War: the 100 days as advertised on Amazon uk…… Seems as if no one has tried Quelle Afaire.

If you are happy with a game specifically devoted to Waterloo, rather than a generic set of Napoleonic rules, then I would second vtsaogames' recommendation of W1815. However, the degree of abstraction means youngsters who did not already have some understanding of Napoleonic warfare and knowledge of Waterloo itself might not gain much from it, beyond enjoying a simple, but challenging, game.

I have a copy of Quelle Affaire but have not had an opportunity to play it yet. The rules are not very long, and appear easily intelligible. I think one could probably also use them to fight Napoleonic battles with figures on a tabletop.

Extra Crispy suggested Napoleons War:The 100 Days.

This is good because:
-it is simple enough for youngsters
-it has model figures
-it has 4 battles

Big Problem is the price in the U.K. (if it is even available)
Thanks all.

PM sent – I'd sell you mine though shipping might be a deal breaker…

I have Quelle Affaire but have not yet tried it out.

For youngsters what about the Waterloo Stratego game? $50 USD on Amazon.
