Anybody have recommendations, on manufacturers of trees, plants, etc., for building a tropical rainforest/jungle. Any info greatly appreciated. All the best, Frank |

I went to Michael's and Hobby Lobby and looked in the artificial plant sections. Many types of ferns and vines to choose from. found many types that can be disassembled and modified. I mounted them in mounds made of blue foam and used a hot glue gun to attach the plants. Have lasted me years and were much more reasonable than buying pro terrain. I wish I had pictures buy not at this time. |

Doug at Battlefield Terrain Concepts probably has what you need, or can make it. battlefieldterrain.com Also, ask a GM who is running a jungle game at a convention for advice. |

If you have a store in your area that sells stuff for cake decorating, often they will be willing to make special orders. In the past I have gotten a gross of plastic palm trees on special order for just a few dollars. They are made to stick in cakes. I make little mounds form Fimo or Sculpy, cook them, glue the trees into the mounds after the clay has cured and cooled, and mount them to washers. They look pretty good and are crazy inexpensive. Mix in some of the plants that have been previously recommended, and you end up with a pretty good looking jungle table. Buck |

Can also find a lot by searching for 'Aquarium Plants' on Amazon. Guess, that sounds more logical than you'd think ..? sorry, first cup of coffee hasn't made it past my neck, yet. |

Depending on your budget, Woodland Scenics offers very nice palm trees in their "economy" line. These trees can be found online – including, of all things, through Walmart – for about $2 USD a tree. |

Well, palm tree mostly suggests tropical – but not so much jungle. Though I suppose you might find some in some jungles. For tropical rain forest style jungles I'd go with very large (tall) deciduous trees with the canopy very high up the trunk – with some lianas fines hanging down. |

The Party Store sold plastic palm trees at one time. They don't grow in nice even rows though, so you only need a few. |
