Does anyone know anything about a company named Artefacts Collectables?
They are (were?) apparently based in Australia in 1990.
They made an excellent range of 54 mm, white metal, diorama type figure kits, for the Little Big Horn.
Beautiful figures.
I Googled the company's name, but can only find painted examples. Link:

The Artwork of Will Leary

Are they still available and do they have a website?

Also there was another English company that made really mice LBH white metal kits, back in the mid '80's or so. I cannot recall the name, but I thought that it might be Rosewood (not ROSE) or Rosewell or something similar. I remember seeing a diorama of some Knights or Men At Arms, storming a huge tower, using figures made by the same company, at a show somewhere. Hackensack, probably. It was spectacular.

Any help?

Found the answer to my second question. It was Rosedale figures and the set was named "The Hill".

These are some beautiful sculpts. Seems they are long out of business which is a shame.

Cavcrazy you seeing these?

I have a vague recollection of the Artefacts figures. Very nicely done as you said.

I don't think I ever bought any as I had painted about all the 54mm Custer Hill scenes I ever wanted to with the Bugle and Guidon line that Stan Glanzer and I produced.

Tom,
I still have some! Those were great minis! I have one or two left, I think! I paint one a year for Christmas for a good friend of mine who is Custer Crazy!
Thanks for the good memories! Then & Now!

Beautiful figures, I would love to paint them. I am on the lookout for the 30mm Bugle & Guidon figures. I have a few, and I am hoping to gather enough for a game.

I have the whole Bugle and Guidon line in 54 mm.
These would be great additions, if I decide to keep them.

A great line. I have about 30 in my collection.
They were based out of Australia.
I believe they were in business from about 1993 – 1999
First saw them advertised in Toy Soldier Company.
Even then they were very hard to order, find.
Never found an official website.
Was able to order about 25 kits from an Australian Hobby shop back in 1996. (Vahalla Hobbies Perth, Australia )
When I tried for another order in 1999 ,they informed me that the line was no longer available.
According to the Will Leary site,
Artefacts ,creator was sculpture Alan Black.
Leary refers to him in his info page.
Can't say enough about this line , just great and unique.

Thank you ,Mike
