Elizabethtown is very close and Louisville is also close, about 35 miles. I will be moving to Fort Knox sometime soon and was hoping to find a good group to meet and game with. (Crossposting to forums of interest in case no one reads these Wargaming in the USA group) |

Centrino, When I lived in Lexington there was a group from Fort Knox that came in to play at the Rusty Scabbard once or twice a month. The Rusty Scabbard is gone but I hear there are a couple of other hobby stores and a large gaming community in Lexington. Dan |

BigDan, thanks for the info. There is a boardgame group in Elizabethtown so that itch will get scratched. It does sound like Louisville and Lexington are larger gaming communities and most likely the better bet for diverse miniature wargaming. |

Small miniature convention called the Wargamers Reunion down just south of Nashville on Veterans Day weekend. It's a 3 and a half hour drive. Also were a group of gamers in Bowling Green. |

Major Mike, thanks for the information. Unfortunately, I will be out of town (wherever that will be) on that weekend. Perhaps next year. |

The Rusty Scabbard is still open in Lexington, I moved here from the UK in April. The gaming mecca that is Battleforge is my go-to place in Lexington, great shop, very friendly staff, (hi Tim!) gaming tables free to use, game nights, most nights of the week, boardgames, 40K, X-Wing, Historicals, Age of Sail, terrain to use, Its a great place. I've been giving my Perry Wars of the Roses a few run outs, with a fellow Brit, and planning WWII, Space Hulk, My own WW1 plane combat game, theres usually stuff going on, and they are a very friendly bunch.
